CAN YOU TELL ME HOW TO BE A CAMERAMAN ON SESAME STREET?

When I was at the Q&A at "Being Elmo" DP James Miller told us all what it was like to be a cameraman on the world's most famous street. I may drift with the camera a little bit. I wasn't watching thru the lens! Just keep watching, I fix it!

Q&A

Here is a video of a Q&A with the team behind the documentary "Being Elmo" up at Sundance. I am not fully awake during this taping.....

REACTING TO ELMO @ SUNDANCE

While I was leaving the screening on Sunday, January, 23, 2011 I grabbed a few reactions from folks leaving the screening.

First up, is Wendy and Charlie. They were interviewed by CNN, but let's be honest, does CNN hold a candle to CBS?? (Chase Beecher Show) Well, let's not answer that. AHEM. The love, the pure unfiltered honesty, from Charlie. I forget what it is like to see like a kid again. Wendy put it best as she mentions what a great storytelling model the documentary has as it bookends passing on Kevin mentoring a young puppeteer who has a passion for performing, like he did as a child.

My next story is with a mom named Dimitria. She had a unique experience of setting up a play date with her son with the furry red one! Elmo also put he hand over her mouth and told her to stop talking, hmmmmm.......ironic nuch??

and of course, here is the famous clip of me and Kevin Clash with Elmo. I had to post it again!!!

Go ahead and leave a comment and share what you think! Do YOU think I am bigger than Big Bird??
Oh, and don't forget to check out themuppetcast.com right now! Hear me discuss Sundance and the film! You can also check out disfanreview.com to hear their take on Sundance and Elmo taking over Park City as well! don't forget to find me on facebook and twitter!
More videos to come! Q&As, more fan reactions, and what Mr. Whatnot thinks of me meeting Elmo. (He is not that happy!)

PLAIN AND SIMPLE: I NEED TO HIRE A DRIVER

I can't drive. This monologue proves it. (By the way, I just shaved my face, and I hate HATE it when I have a clean shaven face, so let's film my face close up! How many chins DO I have?!)

I CAN'T BELIEVE IT

Okay, so there is a documentary about Kevin Clash, or "Elmo" to most of the planet, at Sundance this year. I had the pleasure of being at the screening on sunday, January 23, 2o11 when it premiered to a sold out crowd, and Elmo and Kevin were there. To get a take on what I thought listen to the muppetcast.com, or visit toughpigs.com. To see a little kid's dream come true of talking with a real-life Muppeteer, and a little red monster, check out this clip. I can't believe it.....

Howdy there!

So I am here to post my official music video debut. No singing. Just acting. No singing. Just wanna fix that one in a hurry. haha.  It is Young Sim featuring Kiliona for Feel Good Music Coalition's What They Want From Me. It is an amazing song and video directed by Richard Van Schalkwyk. Look for me through the whole video, and I may have a little cameo at the end.....

ps. it was a very cold night that night. -just sayin'.

AVAILABLE AT WAAALLGREEEEEEEENNSS!!!!

Jimmy Kimmel is a funny man. In his monologue last night he addressed the fact that our beloved Barbra Walters interviewed the divine miss Oprah and made her cry (really, who hasn't she made cry?) and Oprah was quick to capitalize on this opportunity.

I think this is a great business idea. I wonder how much it costs, though. I bet it is a fortune. It seems to do a lot, and I believe in it. It isn't snake oil. Watch Jimmy....

I am off to Wallgreens....

WHAT IS THIS TRON BUSINESS??

I have to admit, I have never seen the original "Tron." I feel like I am totally missing out. I can't find it on DVD or on my Netflix, either. There is a lot of hype surrounding Disney's new "Tron Legacy." It looks amazing and I hear that the 3D in the movie blows you out of the water. (It you were watching it in water.)

I am so excited to see "Tron Legacy" based on the music (composed by Daft Punk!) alone. I know this video has been out for awhile, but I just saw it! How awesome! I am totally getting into it. I am going to start wearing a pleather jumpsuit wrapped in roped christmas lights, holding a frisby with a hole cut in the middle, and tip-toeing around like they do in the movie. (How is that for an image?) I can't wait until the movie opens on Dec. 17!

Also, the new trailer for "Pirates of the Caribbean- On Stranger Tides" will be in front of the movie. That makes Dec. 17 an event!!!

THE CHASE BEECHER SPECIAL PART TWO

Here is the second and final installment of my interview with my friend and collaborator, Young Sim. If you didn't see "The Chase Beecher Special, part 1, click HERE) I think in this one we touch on things that are a little serious, but it is much more lighthearted and funnier than part one. That is just me, though. It't not like my name is on the thing. Or I wrote it. Or produced it. Or directed it. Or filmed and edited it. It's just me. Now, here is the video....

REALLY OLD ADS PART 2

Does anyone remember really old ads, part 1?  You do? Great. Well, naturally there should be a part 2. So, here we go.  I can't believe that these ads were really used back in the day. A baby shaving? What does that say? I guess it's better than writing on the walls with crayons. I can't even comment on the last one, other than I guess it is just plain ol' good advice! Remember these ads are legit!

A LOST EPISODE OF THE MUPPET SHOW??

Does anyone remember the old Alfred Hitchcock movies? Of course you do. "The Birds," "Psycho," "Vertigo," and "Don't Eat Broccoli Before Bedtime" (okay not that last one. maybe ) Well, he also had a TV show "The Alfred Hitchcock Hour" and in all these things he would always make a cameo. Very meta. It would be kind of fun to find him in these things.
So, that brings me to our story today. Someone had a GENIUS idea to cut and paste some audio and clips together to make an episode of "The Muppet Show" with a special guest- Jim Henson! This is genius! You must watch this! This is the Muppets going meta-meta-meta!! Enjoy!

HAHAHA! I love it when Gonzo says "What's a puppet?" and Waldorf tells Statler he is "betraying his own kind"!!!! HAHAHAHA!
